We are happy to create any tailored campaign for you, from pop-ups to collect emails to complex gamification. To create a graphic design, please consider the following recommendations.
General rules
- try to export maximum graphics to vector formats, ideally SVG
- prepare raster images in PNG or JPEG format
- in the case of raster images (background photos), create one background with the entire area of the campaign content
- the closing cross can be added directly integrated in Mailocator and does not have to be part of the design
Responsiveness
- in most cases, a single version can be created that adapts to mobile devices
- only in the case of complex content (graphics) and especially games, we recommend creating a separate mobile version
Fonts
- If possible, please choose from Google Fonts at https://fonts.google.com
- If you use any other publicly available "free" font, we will need it from you, preferably in WOFF (The Web Open Font Format), or OTF or TTF.
- if you are using your own paid font and the licensing policy allows it, you will need to provide it to us so that we can place it on our CDN where it will be available only for your project
Resolution and sizes
There is no clear recommendation, however:
- Width for Desktop should not exceed 800 pixels
- Width for Mobile devices should not exceed 400 pixels
- Height is calculated automatically according to the content
Animation
Attractive display with the help of animations inside the campaign is not a problem and can contribute to higher conversion. However, the specific animation needs to be consulted beforehand.
Mailocator supports animations using JS/CSS technology, which does not burden the user with additional data and does not slow down loading.
Audience and display
Proper targeting and timing of a campaign is crucial to its success. So think about audience, frequency and content personalization as well.
- Display to all users or just new users?
- Delay the display for a few seconds?
- Do you really want to launch the campaign on the first page?
- Don't you have information in the
dataLayer
that would improve the impression? For example, customize the content by category or content.
