Control Frequency Campaign Triggering

Why use this setting?

Mailocator allows you to precisely control how often a campaign runs and whether it should be repeated over time. This allows you to display campaigns sensitively, without annoying users, while ensuring that important messages or game campaigns are available repeatedly when it makes sense.

The right combination of these two settings is key to a good user experience and high campaign performance.

How many times should the campaign be launched?

Until the user subscribes or closes the campaign
The campaign is displayed until the user performs the desired action (e.g., subscribes) or consciously closes it. Once the goal has been achieved, it no longer makes sense to display the campaign again.

Recommended and most common setting.

Only once
Suitable in cases where you really don't want to bother the user with repetition – typically for one-time announcements, infoboxes, or important information.

Every time
Unusual and used exceptionally. The campaign will run every time the triggers are met. We recommend using this mode very carefully, only in specific scenarios.

Campaign repetition

Campaign repetition addresses a different situation – whether and after how long the campaign should be displayed again since the last display, regardless of whether it was previously closed or completed.

When repetition is appropriate:

for regular information campaigns (news, new products, updates),

for key messages that users should see repeatedly over time,

for gaming campaigns, especially Advent calendars, which are typically displayed once a day.

Repetition forces a new campaign launch even if the user has closed it in the past or a conversion has occurred.

Best practice tip:

In most cases, use the "until the user subscribes or closes" setting and no repetition.

Only enable repetition for campaigns that have long-term or regular value (e.g., games, news). The clearer the reason for repetition, the more natural the campaign will appear to the user.
