If you need to exclude a certain part of your audience (bots, traffic from outside your area of interest, specific IP addresses, etc.) you can use project filters.
Project filters can be found in Scenario under the filter_alt
All traffic filtered in this way will not be included in the billing.
The exclusion applies to the entire project, i.e. all campaigns within the project.
Traffic exclusion options
UTM parameter - any traffic that is brought in from another marketing channel, for example after a click through from a newsletter, PPC, etc. can be excluded.
IP addresses - you can exclude or make the project available only for listed IP addresses. Exclusion is especially suitable for corporate and agency networks, allowing for a specific IP address is suitable for private testing.
Countries - it is possible to list a limited number of countries for which the project will be available, or on the contrary to exclude availability for specific countries - for example in case of unwanted robotic traffic
Cookies - if there is a specific public cookie with a positive value
dataLayer - if there is an object property with a positive value
At the campaign level, similar and much more detailed display restrictions can be made, in which case visits are already counted.
